Earlier newsletters

FINYAR’s first annual journal was published in 2004. Before it was possible to publish such an ambitious publication, contact between members and other interested persons was maintained by a so called “Newsletter”. The newsletter came out even before FINYAR existed, while there was only a nameless network of researchers.

For people interested in FINYARS’s early days, the newsletter is not just interesting reading--  some of the articles and issues then debated are still well worth reading and useful.
Some short comments, however, are necessary. Newsletter number two is missing. If I remember correctly it was a summons on one page and not much else. There was a misunderstanding when we changed editors and one more issue was numbered as nine which is why there are two issues with the number nine. The last newsletter is not numbered as thirteen, it has another numbering.

The digital originals are long since lost after a great many switches of computers and moves but luckily the paper copies are extant and it is these that have been used; therefore the somewhat peculiar quality of the picture.
