Further funding for the network from the Swedish Central Bank for 2011 and 2012!

FINYAR has been granted further funding from the Swedish Central Bank for 2011 and 2012 to initiate a Nordic network (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finnish speaking parts of Finland) for academic research on new religious movements and alternative spirituality. The substantial aim is to, during the year 2012, publish an anthology that identifies the Nordic research front regarding the study of alternative spirituality, discusses it from a historical as well as from a future perspective, and discusses the relation to the international research front.

During 2011 a conference will be held for young Nordic reseachers on alternative spirituality. FINYARs members will be invited to the conference.
